About Michael Small

Kumbayah Studios (the word Kumbayah means "come by here"), were established in 1978 by photographer Michael Small and have been based in The Blue Mountains since 1984.  Michael has enjoyed a close almost life-long love affair with the region, and there is probably no other photographer with as much experience and thorough knowledge of The Blue Mountains, its spectacular scenery, churches and reception venues as he has.

 He is one of the few, full time professional photographers living within this World Heritage listed National Park and has seen and been part of many changes in the industry, particularly since the introduction of digital technology.

 Some things, however, have not changed. His enthusiasm for his craft.  His dedication to the task at hand. His meticulous creation of quite amazing wedding albums. His reasonable and very affordable pricing, which represents great value. His willingness to "go the extra mile", (remember them?).
